Based in Redcar the Chris Cave Foundation has been educating young people for 20 years against knife crime and other related violent acts Theresa and her team are still working hard to reach out and support their cause. Comforting and connecting with families who have lost loved ones to murder the CCF offers advocacy, peer support, trauma counseling for adults and children and are able to support
victims families with preperation of impact statements for the trial of offenders. With the successful anti knife crime program POINT 7 the CCF shows the dangers , consequences and ripple effect of knife, gun, gang, county lines and many other issues surrounding violent crime. How to deal with knife wounds and how to perform CPR on a victim until help gets to them,with over 100% great feedback and plans for a second youth conference in 2022 the CCF are doing amazing things and young people are walking away from dangerous situations. The GAP program is also showing a great success rate in helping vulnerable adults who live alone and struggle with everyday issues at home, socially and need support on hand to help with issues they face. The CCF are able to refer to services and get issues sorted directly for the client.
