We provide local support for those living with dementia and their carers. A social occasion in a relaxed atmosphere. On the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.

Members of Tavistock Memory Cafe enjoyed a sunny day in Tavistock Community Sensory Garden and Tavistock Bowling Club some enjoyed a game of petanque or bowls, others strolled round the garden or chatted over a cuppa and cake.
It was a really lovely occasion.

At Tavistock Memory Cafe Care and Share group this month, they made colourful autumn wreaths.
There was a lot laughs due to glue malfunction!

At Tavistock Memory Cafe this week, members shared stories about the items of memorabilia they brought in. What wonderful memories!
We had a laugh over some old adverts and bits and pieces, and tested our knowledge of the 1960s.
'Caring for you, caring for your relationship', was the topic in the carer support group workshop.

At the recent meeting of Tavistock Memory Cafe, Beci Smith of Moor Tutoring ran a really enjoyable art session.

This month at Care and Share Tavistock Memory Cafe we coloured botanical postcards, but liked them too much to send!
Then what a laugh we had making model planes and a game with our own rules.

At Tavistock Memory Cafe we enjoyed our regular session of table games. Lots of fun and laughs!
Cycling Without Age - West Devon and East Cornwall volunteer pilots were kept very busy. Grum, Bill, Tim and Steve gave six couples rides around the Meadows. Thanks chaps!

Tavistock Memory Cafe celebrated its 20th anniversary this weekend! The special tea dance in Tavistock Town Hall was attended by 131 people who were entertained by the wonderful Hummingbirds singing trio. Thank you to King Street Bakery for the catering - the rolls, scones and birthday cake were delicious - And huge thanks must go to our wonderful volunteers who worked their little socks off to make the event a success.

What a glorious celebration of dedication to the Dementia community in Tavistock and surrounds.

This month at Tavistock Memory Cafe Care and Share group, we decorated bird houses and trinket boxes using paint, decoupage or wallpaper, whatever took their fancy - A good job done folks!

At Tavistock Memory Cafe a good number turned out to chat and share memories about summer, despite the very warm weather. The fans were on, lots of water drunk and yummy ice lollies were much appreciated during the sessions..Volunteer Julie was presented with a certificate and flowers in recognition of five years service. Yay !!
Our carer groups learned SO much about scam prevention from Anthony Purnell, a Cyber hood Watch ambassador!
