Merchant Navy Association - Taunton Branch Local branch of the Merchant Navy Association covering Taunton and surrounding Somerset.

Our members are either serving or ex Merchant Seafarers of all ranks who wish to preserve the camaraderie and spirit of the MN. We are a branch of the National Merchant Navy Association, see their website at www.mna.org.uk for a full description of the aims of the association. We meet on the second Thursday of each month alternately at The Lawns Social Club in Taunton at 1200 and The Monkton Inn a

t Monkton Heathfield at 1200. We attend various events that promote the MN such as Merchant Navy Day at Tower Hill in London each September. We are actively seeking new members having lost a few of our elder shipmates in the past year.
