Always amazing how many young carers are unknown, who don't realise they are a young carer and can get support 🤗

In Somerset we have more than 600 known young carers. Statistics tell us the number is far larger.

Youth UnLimited CIC can help your school find those hidden young carers by guiding you through the Young Carers in Schools Award Somerset.

Youth UnLimited CIC and the Young Carers in Schools Award Project would like to offer our HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Northgate Primary School in Bridgwater, part of the Futura Learning Partnership, who have recently been awarded the Young Carers in Schools Award by Carers Trust and The Children's Society!

The Young Carers in Schools Award celebrates schools and recognises good practice in identifying, supporting and raising attainment for young carers. It's a no obligation, free initiative recognised by Ofsted and is achieved by submitting a series of evidence that showcases the school's hard word and dedication to helping young carers thrive.
