Our mission is to provide sustainable affordable housing, and workspaces for community enterprises. We do this while following co-operative principles and nurturing equality of opportunity for the benefit of the community. Unlike other community land trusts, we see our main focus as being urban development where we add value to sites by mobilising volunteers and designing imaginative conversions; we aim to keep costs low by reusing buildings and employing frugal building methods. We are also unusual in that we invite tenants to play an active role in the co-operative and share facilities as a single community. We are a Community Land Trust owned and run by the community. A membership that brings together a broad range of Somerset people is an amazing asset. Our members can then lend their voices and ideas to our projects and help spread awareness of our aims and what we're doing across the county. BECOME A MEMBER FOR JUST £1
When you become a member, you are buying shares in the organisation - a community benefit society with an asset lock that means our assets are held in perpetuity for the benefit of the community.
