Wood Street Community Choir, Taunton At Wood Street Community Choir we sing all kinds of World songs in 4 part harmony, all welcome! It is a natural voice choir, directed by Catherine Mowat.

Wood Street Community Choir meets on Monday evenings 7.30-9.15 pm. The subscription is £6 per evening - you can 'pay as you go' or pay termly in advance. A concessionary rate £3 may be available for low wage or unemployed - please talk to / email Catherine. We learn songs by ear and sing unaccompanied in a relaxed, friendly environment. You don't need to be able to read music to join in. We meet in the Quaker Meeting Place, 13 Bath Place,Taunton, TA1 4EP. Come and Sing for Medicine on Sunday 29th November! Bookings are now open - this event might well sell out, so book now.

Sing for Medicine is a day's singing event, open to anyone who loves to sing, held in Monkton Heathfield near Taunton, and to raise money for charity. We'll be singing soulful and uplifting unaccompanied songs in 4 part harmony, with each singing part led by an experienced Somerset community choir leader including our own Wood Street Choir's leade, Catherine. Singers bring lunch to share, and it's altogether a really fun, warming day.

Last year Sing for Medicine sold nearly 100 tickets and raised £2500 for Medical Aid for Palestinians, a UK based charity. Let's match that this year!
