Free Film Screening 11th April - People's Emergency Briefing

📢 A special community screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing

📍 Trull Memorial Hall
📅 11th April 2026
🕖 4pm – 6pm

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a 45-minute screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film there will be a tea, cake and a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

We are expecting representatives from the parish and county council, local climate groups, and possibly a reporter from the Gazette! We are optimistic that they will join with us constituents for this important discussion about our future. Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome (Although due to the nature of the content, it may not be suitable for those under 16 years)

Seats are free but limited so please book in advance.

Our hall was built in memorial to the men and women who were lost in the 2 World Wars. Our small remembrance garden is being developed using a beautiful design by local volunteer and experienced gardener Allison.
