2026 is Taunton Mencap's 70th anniversary - we are currently in the process of organising an event to commemorate this, which we are hoping will take place in Vivary Park in May or June. Watch this space for further details - the event, as well as being a celebration, is to bring the local learning disabled community and their families/carers together with a view to future collaboration between different organisations. This was started prior to the lockdowns and we are hoping to build back the momentum that was lost during these challenging times. Information will also be on our website at www.tauntonmencap.co.uk once date and further details are confirmed

Hi Everyone

This is the public page for Taunton Mencap. We have just launched our new website at www.tauntonmencap.co.uk - please take a look at who we are, what we do and how you can get involved

We are a small charity based in Taunton, Somerset who help adults with learning disabilities to participate fully in life through various activities, parties, trips and events throughout the year. If you want to become a member for just £18 a year there are details on the website of how you can. Our membership has declined in recent years since Covid so if you know any adults with learning disabilities who may be interested in taking part in our activities please put them in touch : )
