What’s it all about?

Holy Trinity Church Tattershall in partnership with Heritage Lincolnshire has been awarded a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant to work with partners including Tattershall Castle, Bat Conservation Trust, local businesses, schools and voluntary organisations to look at how the community can develop a tourism strategy to improve the whole visitor experience in Tattershall.

One of the purposes of the grant was to carry out a consultation with visitors and local people across the summer. This took place in July & August 2019. The information collected during the consultation will be used to create a tourism plan which hopes to drive visitors to stay longer and spend more money in the area. Other aims include creating partnerships which will enhance visitor experience and will overall boost the local economy.

Our first meeting to introduce the project was held in November 2019 and from this meeting the Love Tattershall Consortium has been formed. This group comprises local business owners and members of voluntary groups. The aim of the group is to promote and develop Love Tattershall as a means of working together to encourage a joined-up approach in providing the best experiences for both visitors and residents here in Tattershall and the surrounding area.

One of the key elements of the project is to provide a leaflet offering full and comprehensive information for visitors. The Love Tattershall leaflet will be available in all outlets in and around Tattershall.
