Tarporley Amateur Dramatic Society #TADS

We are a group of local people of all ages who enjoy amateur dramatics and want to raise money for local charities at the same time. The Society is based at the Community Centre in the village of Tarporley in the heart of rural Cheshire. Established in its current format in 1960, The Society dates back originally to 1922 and has over 30 active members including actors, actresses and the technical

team. We have staged over 90 productions over the last 50 years; two productions are normally staged each year. The first in March and the second in November so the Society is constantly searching for fresh acting talent, especially the younger variety! If acting is not your forte, a great deal of fun is also had building the set which is usually completed over a week-end two weeks before the first performance and in time for a Sunday technical & dress rehearsal. Other technical roles include lighting and sound engineers and help with "props", front of house, refreshment & bar sales and very occasionally, prompting are much appreciated.
