Our Windsor event kicks off in just a few hours time! Whilst our main stand will be sited at Windsor Coach Park, the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust stand will be sited within the Windsor & Eton Central Station complex. You will be able to purchase an event programme from either site whilst stocks last. Additionally, event programmes will also be available from one of our team who will position himself at Bus Stop J at Windsor Parish Church from approx. 1015 until 1300ish, again, whilst stocks last. Please note however that sales from Bus Stop J will be on a cash only basis, whilst the other outlets will be able to take card payments. See you all tomorrow!

State of the Nation for this Sunday's event at Windsor:

Thames Valley 446 is unavailable for the event and will be substituted by ex Reading Buses 'Jumbo' VRT 38.
Routes 20 and 441 will operate slightly differently to as advertised. To avoid low trees, route 20 will operate via the A308 between Dedworth and Maidenhead and not serve Fifield Village. Route 441 will be unable to serve Pooley Green due to a road closure and will operate via The Causeway between Egham and Staines, the same as route 718.

Feeder bus information to follow.

It's less than a week to go now until our event at Windsor and today's the last day you can order your programmes in advance. They will also be available to buy on the day.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

The programme for our forthcoming event at Windsor, staged jointly with the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust, is now at the printers - a few days later than we would have liked due to some last minute issues but hopefully we should have them in our possession by early next week when pre-orders will start to be posted out. As always, these programmes include full timetables (including feeder buses) and vehicle allocations as well as an article or two appertaining to transport history in the area. There's still time to order an advance copy post free through our website - https://amershammotorbus.co.uk/product/windsor2026n/, but sadly we've had to increase the price to £10 due to recent worldwide events which have negatively affected fuel costs. They still however, represent excellent value for money based on the content within.

Below is the route diagram showing the network planned on the day with all routes being predominantly operated by vehicle types applicable to appropriate periods in their history. It also gives a clue as to where feeder bus services will originate from! Feeder bus timings will be published here a couple of days prior to the event.

Sunday May 10th will be our second event of the year based at Windsor Coach Park - a short walk from Windsor Town Centre although frequent classic bus services will link the Town Centre with the event base.

This is a joint venture with the Thames Valley and Great Western Omnibus Trust and will feature re-enactments of both London Transport and Thames Valley routes in the area as well as an element of Green Line operations plus a number of tours operated by former London Transport and Royal Blue Coaches. A special treat thanks to Robin Helliar-Symons will be short tours operated by his petrol engined former Jersey Motor Transport Leyland TD1 which featured at Chesham in 2025.

The event programme is currently being compiled and is available to pre-order from our website - www.amershammotorbus.co.uk. Sadly, thanks to recent events across the Atlantic the price for programmes has had to increase to £10 in view of the rocketing costs of diesel fuel but, as always, these souvenir programmes do include full timetable information, vehicle allocations and the odd article or two and still represent superb value for money! We plan to send the programme to print by 22nd April and all being well, they should be available for distribution by the end of the month.

You will certainly get the most out of the day having timetables in advance but failing that they will still be available to purchase on the day from our stands at either Windsor Coach Park or near Windsor Parish Church. The Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust will have their stand sited within the Windsor Central Station area along with a display vehicle and that will be well worth a visit. Keep an eye on this page for future updates as the day draws closer.
