🎲⚔️ HEART OF HEROES CLUB UPDATE ⚔️🎲
As we head towards the summer holidays, we wanted to share an update about our upcoming sessions and plans for the future of Heart of Heroes.
📅 There will be NO in-person club session on Wednesday 1st July.
Instead, we'd love to encourage members to stay connected by arranging online games, social meetups, or hobby sessions amongst yourselves. Whether that's:
🎲 An online Dungeons & Dragons session
🎮 A multiplayer game on Steam
🃏 A virtual card game
☕ Or simply meeting up socially
Our last in-person session before the summer break will be Wednesday 15th July.
After that, we will return on:
📅 Wednesday 2nd September
On the 15th July, we'll also be sharing a link to a short survey. We'd be incredibly grateful if members could take a few minutes to complete it. The survey will help us better understand our community, learn what people enjoy most, and help us plan for September and beyond.
During the summer break, the volunteer team will be catching up on club administration, reviewing our plans, and looking at ways we can continue to grow and improve the club.
Heart of Heroes is entirely volunteer-run. We'd like to thank our current volunteers:

These fantastic people help organise sessions, run games, support new players, moderate Discord, manage equipment, and help make the club what it is.
From September we'll be facing some challenges. John will be away with work and starting a new adventure, and Dillon's shift work means he isn't always available. To help us continue growing, we'd love to hear from anyone interested in volunteering.
Volunteer roles could include:
🎲 Helping with setup and pack down
🎲 Running games and activities
🎲 Supporting Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Warhammer, HeroQuest or board games
🎲 Helping run the tuck shop
🎲 Supporting Facebook and Discord administration
🎲 Welcoming new members
We would particularly love to find a female Dungeon Master and eventually establish a female-only Dungeons & Dragons group to encourage more women and girls to explore tabletop gaming in a supportive environment.
Heart of Heroes was created to bring like-minded people together through shared hobbies and interests. Our aim has always been to create friendships, teach new games, support positive mental wellbeing, and provide a welcoming space for people who may otherwise feel socially isolated.
Since launching, we've built an amazing community, and we'd love to continue growing so we can support even more people across Tamworth.

⚠️ Ages 16+ may attend independently
⚠️ Ages 13–15 are welcome with a supervising adult
During the summer we will also organise a social get-together that isn't gaming focused, giving everyone a chance to catch up, chat, and spend some time together outside of the gaming table.
And remember, if you need support over the summer, the wider Heart of Tamworth community is still here. We offer a range of community services including:

Many of you already know Hannah, who manages much of the club administration. Hannah works at Heart of Tamworth four days a week and is often around if anyone needs support, advice, or simply someone to point them in the right direction.
