Elford Scarecrow Festival Join us on 24th and 25th August 2019 for a scarecrow spectacular in the beautiful Staffordshire village of Elford. The route is buggy and wheelchair friendly.

The beautiful Staffordshire village of Elford has something to ‘crow’ about- the 8th annual scarecrow festival. The festival is entirely in aid of local good causes and last year’s festival raised in excess of £15,000. Entry & parking is just £2 for adults, £1 for children, under 5’s go free. ons from Boris Johnson to Pokemon ... and everything in between! Thousands of visitors cast their vote to crown last year’s champion ‘The Red Barrows’- but which scarecrow will be crowned the people’s favourite this year?

• Vote for your favourite scarecrow from 100s on show made by the crafty folk of Elford
• New children’s area located in Howard Primary school including real life fire engine, bouncy castle and play area
• We’re delighted to announce that there will be a flypast by the RAF of a Hurricane & Spitfire aircraft
• Pimms & beer tent
• BBQ
• Cream teas and light refreshments served in the village hall
• Hedgehog trail for the children
• Have fun on the stalls- family favourites like hook a duck, splat the rat, guess the weight of the sheep and the teddy tombola amongst many others
• Stroll around St Peters Church and the Elford Walled Gardens to see how many scarecrows you can find

Everyone is welcome for one the best value family days out in the Midlands, taking place on Saturday and Sunday 26th and 27th August from 11am- 4pm. All proceeds will be shared between St Peters Church, Elford village hall and the Pathway Project supporting victims of domestic abuse. www.elfordscarecrowfestival.uk

Our Story

The beautiful Staffordshire village of Elford has something to ‘crow’ about- the scarecrows are back!

The event promises to be a huge crowd pleaser, with attractions for all the family. A record breaking £20,000 was raised for charity at the last festival with beneficiaries including The Snowdrop Suite at Burton Hospital, and the Pathway Project supporting victims of domestic abuse.

The beautiful village will be filled with scarecrows- visitors are promised around 100 adorning the route with creations from Boris Johnson to the Wizard of Oz ... and everything in between! Thousands of visitors cast their vote to crown last year’s champion ‘The Gruffalo’- but which scarecrow will be crowned the people’s favourite this year?
