🐾Update on the Polesworth Feral Colony 🐾

Maverick is doing well and is taking his antibiotics for his abscess like an absolute champ. ❤️

Thelma & Louise have both been in today for their spays and have done brilliantly. Unfortunately, both will need to return for Grade 4 dentals in the near future.

Reed had to be rushed in today and has spent the day with our wonderful vets and nurses undergoing blood tests and receiving fluids. He is suffering from a nasty bout of cat flu and may also have feline herpes virus, so he's feeling very poorly at the moment. Please keep him in your thoughts. 💔

As you can appreciate, our funds have now plummeted. With adoptions being very slow at the moment, we have very little income coming in, and sadly we will now have to remain closed to taking on any new cases.

The last 4 in this litter have been waiting weeks, with no interest at all… we know it’s because black & white kittens are so overlooked but they’re so cute and confident and playful… who wouldn’t want them?!?!

COLONY UPDATE AGAIN

DAY 3

We managed to catch another 3.
The remaining cats are being very trap savvy.

Ginger and white, we assumed to be a girl from a distance due to the size of the stomach… managed to catch with our hands whilst they slept on the wall. Is actually a boy, booked in for castrate. He is full of flu, likely worms and has clouded eyes.

And 2 more females, likely in early pregnancy, both booked for spays / spay abort.
1 of them is very young, again, neither are nasty, just terrified and able to be handled.

From what we can see, there is 2 boys remaining, as soon as we have space again, we will go and catch them too.

We need adult meat and whiskas kitten meat donations to keep coming in please guys 🙏🏼
