🌈 RIP DOLLY PARTON 🕊️💔

Today we say goodbye to an absolute icon and a true, longstanding ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. 🌈

Dolly Parton used her enormous platform to champion love, acceptance, equality and the simple right for people to be exactly who they are. She spoke proudly about her LGBTQIA+ fans and consistently stood for kindness over judgement.

In her own words:

“I think everybody should be allowed to be themselves, whoever they are.” 🌈

For so many in the community, Dolly was far more than the Queen of Country.... She was joy, camp, strength, acceptance and a reminder that you can stand proudly alongside others simply because love is love.

The world has lost one of its brightest, kindest and most colourful stars. ✨

Thank you for the music, the laughter, the fabulousness and most importantly, thank you for being an ally.

Rest in peace, Dolly. 🤍

A HUGE well done to everybody that has taken the time to make this event happen this weekend …..

Don’t forget our very own Trisha Birmingham and Miss Becky will be live at Duke of York Lichfield at 6pm and a hop skip and a jump to The Owl - Lichfield on stage at 8pm

Although we couldn’t host our usual Tamworth Pride this year.

The Sheriff of Tamworth is hosting a pride event this Saturday 6th June from 2pm - 11pm for Pride Month! 🌈

Face Painting
Food
Drag
Singers
And a whole lot of fun for you all.

They also have a temporary events notice across the front of The Sheriff/The Bronze lounge with covering to keep you dry in case of rain ☔️ 🌈

🌈 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – TAMWORTH PRIDE 2026 🌈

It is with great sadness that we announce Tamworth Pride 2026 has unfortunately had to be postponed until next year.

Due to a lack of funding and sponsorships this year, we have been left with no choice but to cancel this year’s event. As many of you know, Tamworth Pride relies solely on the incredible support of sponsors, funding, and our community to make the event possible.

We are sincerely sorry and disappointed from the bottom of our hearts. The whole committee has worked incredibly hard, and this decision has not been made lightly.

Refunds for any tickets purchased will be issued this evening.

We truly hope you all understand and continue to support us as we work hard behind the scenes to secure the funding and sponsorships needed for a bigger, brighter, and even better Tamworth Pride 2027! 🌈✨
