Tain Youth Development

Tain Youth Development Are you between 11 and 25, want to get involved in activities to socialise, get heard, make a difference or need some support or advice.

We have youth groups and projects running throughout the area and lots of opportunities to become involved. Keep a eye on the page for updates. We also have a Youth voice project. Young People work with the Youth team on local issues and needs in the area to explore their ideas and develop projects.

For all Secondary pupils - please come to see Kats to discuss. You will find her in the Youth Services office opposite the Library.

For all Primary pupils - Kats will pop in and see you all on Thursday.

Our YouthBox project is proud to be associated with a genuinely great club, giving our aspiring boxers a pathway in the sport.
We are grateful to everyone involved with Jabspar for the warm welcome we receive every time we journey down the road for some sparring.

Affiliation for the 2026-27 season is 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣!

2025-26 was a season of further growth for Scottish boxing - with a packed calendar consisting of 100+ club shows, 4 Box Cups, 8 weekends of national championships and Four Nations championships, held on home soil, where Scotland achieved 15 gold medals from an overall 81 total medal haul🥊

The season was topped off in 𝘴𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦, with Scotland winning 3 bronze medals at the 2026 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow – Robert McNulty (Renfrewshire), Sonny Kerr (Byron) and Scotland’s 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 female boxing medalist, Caitlin Rainey (Nightmare)🥉

If you’ve been volunteering over the holidays, Kats would love to see you tomorrow with your timesheets.

If you would like a timesheet to start collating your hours, she will have some available!
