We welcome Highland Council's confirmation that Tain Primary School will retain its three Gaelic Medium classes and four teaching posts.

Gaelic Medium Education plays a vital role in supporting our language, culture and community, and it is essential that it continues to receive the support and investment it deserves.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to support this campaign. Your encouragement, advocacy and commitment have been invaluable, and this outcome reflects the strength of feeling within our community.

A reminder that our first in-person meeting takes place this Thursday evening at 18.30 in the new Tain Royal Academy. All GME parents welcome.

Absolutely delighted to say that we have received well over 200 entries from over 80 competitors, and the 200 entries does not include the 182 wonderful art entries, nor the Highland Dancing (where nearly 30 dancers entered for 60 dances)

Thank you so much for supporting Golspie local Mòd. We can’t wait to see you on June 6th.

I’ll prepare a timetable and programme asap, but registration for juniors will be at 9.30am in Golspie Community Centre, with competitions beginning in Golspie High School at 10am. Seniors competitions will be starting at 2pm.

See you soon 🎶 🎻 🥁 🪗 🎭

A bheil thu airson beagan Gàidhlig ionnsachadh?

If you’d like the chance to begin learning Gaelic, or to improve what you have, book in to these in-person evening classes in Bonar Bridge with Marie or Fiona.

All classes will be focusing more on conversational Gaelic and not grammar based.

For those who love grammar a separate one off grammar class may be organised at some point soon.

Thanks to Bòrd na Gàidhlig’s Taic Freumhan Coimhearsnachd for funding towards these classes.

Mòran taing 😊
