**Important announcement**
After more than 9 years, the trustees have made the difficult decision to close Doing it for Dan charity.
Life moves on and unfortunately it is no longer possible to dedicate the huge amount of time to the charity that it requires and deserves.
It is an ending which of course brings mixed emotions, but it comes from a happy place and is filled with hope and positivity for the future which is something we set out to achieve from the start.
We are immensely proud that in a relatively short period our tiny charity has raised over £150k which has helped more than 300 young people and their families, and local sports clubs.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the charity over the years - without you we would never have been able to achieve this.
To all of our amazing grant recipients - you have been so inspiring and we have loved being a small part of your sporting journey : we wish you every success for the future.
Like his enormous smile and huge caring heart, Daniel’s beautiful memory will live on in the hearts and lives of those touched by the legacy he leaves.
