Yesterday was truly special, a real testament to how loved Rhiannon was, and still is. We said 10 years ago that Rhiannon would never be forgotten and that her legacy would live on, and that was proved yesterday.

Thank you to each and every single person who took the time out of their day to attend, to our coaches, Kelvin, Shane & Clair, to all the C6 girls and the OG’s - it means everything. Without you, the event would not have been what it was and I am so pleased to say we raised an amazing £1300, which will go such a long way for our chosen charity, Rhi’s Goals.

A special thank you must go to Rhiannon’s dad, Jason, who refereed the game for us. Rhiannon’s mum, Caroline, who kicked the game off for us and Rhiannon’s sister, Darcy, who ended the game scoring the winning penalty… in UGG boots 🤣 and not to forget our Nanny Ange, who came into our changing rooms prior to the game to help Clair give us our little pep talk after all these years. You are all amazing, and we can’t thank you enough for everything you did yesterday and across the last 10 years.

Please see below, some words from Rhiannon’s family, followed by some pictures from yesterday, and thank you again ❤️

We won’t leave it so long next time…

Today marks the 10 year anniversary that we lost our beloved friend, daughter, granddaughter, sister and goalkeeper Rhiannon.

The suddenness of your passing crushed us all, the shock of losing you so soon, the disbelief because of how young you were, the Rhiannon sized hole that was left in us all. It’s impossible to describe the way we all felt 10 years ago today, and it’s impossible to think 10 years have passed since then.

Rhiannon was taken far too soon, at only 15 years old. Although we were only to share 15 years with you on this earth, my god did you make an impression. Rhiannon was loud, crazy, kind, selfless, funny, beautiful and so many other things, but above all else she was a hero. Rhiannon signed up to be an organ donor and saved 3 lives following her tragic passing. To be so selfless and think of others so young is part of what made Rhiannon so incredible.

Everyone who knew Rhiannon has been left with nothing but good memories, the majority of these being absolutely hilarious stories that we have all shared to each other since.

On Saturday we will be celebrating Rhiannon’s life, holding a charity match in Rhiannon’s memory, with a 1pm kick off, and we really hope to see as many people there as we can.

Thank you all.

Don’t you worry, don’t you worry child. See heavens got a plan for you ❤️
