BEACON UPDATE: FOUND PASSED

It's with utter sadness we share with you that the search for serving soldier Stephen Hughes, 25, has ended in the most tragic way. Stephen was found but has passed away, his family have stated. We have delayed sharing this update to allow time for his family and friends to be informed.

Our thoughts are with Stephen’s family, friends, and all who knew him at this incredibly difficult time. We would also like to make special mention of his numerous friends and colleagues who kept us informed privately as the situation unfolded. Thank you.
