**2025 Christmas Appeal for Silverbells Children’s Welfare**

Whilst YTA is not running trips, I wanted to use the opportunity to use this platform to reach out to the amazing supporters of Silverbells Children Welfare.

The project as always finds this time of year particularly difficult with funding for food and providing something extra special for the children over the festive season.

The Platform Project CIC based in Swindon have set up a fundraising campaign on behalf of the school in the hope we can raise some much-needed funds for the children to have food over the winter season but also a special Christmas treat when they return to school after the break. 🥰

We are excited to announce that our fab in country team (James, Sammy & Joyce) from Melon Mission are now running direct trips to Kenya for individuals, families & large groups.

YTA is not running our own trips, however behind the scenes we have been supporting all schools on a more personal level including support in an enterprise project ‘Be Joy’ which is a small business selling shoes & school supplies. This has not only provided opportunities for members of the local community to have paid work but also any profits made is used to help support the running costs of Melon Mission. It’s small & in the early days of business but a really sustainable way in continuing the much needed help the community & school require.

Global Travel Impact is going to continue the transformative support to Melon Mission, Silverbells Children’s Welfare & Little Kings through their volunteer & tourism trips.

This year alone they’ve successfully run trips for large scout & college groups as well as families & individual travellers.
