🌱 HUG – Helping Us Grow 🌱

Our garden is more than just a place to grow plants, it’s a space where our young people can grow too. 💚

Through our new HUG garden (Helping Us Grow), the children have been given the opportunity to water and care for our plants while tracking their progress over time. As they watch each seed grow, they’re also developing patience, responsibility, confidence, and a sense of achievement!

End of Intervention 📦

Our last intervention session is all about celebrating growth and making sure every young person leaves with tools they can continue to use.

Each box includes:
🧠 Feelings charts
🌈 Breathing exercises
🎨 Calming activities
💚 Grounding strategies
🧸 Sensory tools
💬 Positive affirmations
🏆 Certificates of achievement
✨ Plus resources tailored to each young person’s individual needs, made by them!

Our goal is simple: to ensure they leave not just with happy memories, but with practical tools they can use to understand and regulate their emotions every day.

💜Learning Disability Week 2026: Do You See Me?

This year’s theme encourages us all to think about what it means to truly see people for who they are-not their disability, but their strengths, interests, talents and aspirations.

At STEP, we see young people building confidence, forming friendships, sharing experiences and supporting one another every day through our therapeutic groups.
