Congratulations to Cpl Park on being presented with his Blue Road Marching Badge! Having successfully completed the necessary distances with the Dorset & Wiltshire Wing - Air Cadets Road Marching Team, he’s now earned this well-deserved recognition. Thank you to all of the Staff who have facilitated this training!

Stick a crown on it! 👑

Tonight, Fg Off Chapman undertook one of his first official duties as OC 1244 Sqn, and had the privledge to promote Harry Harnett to the rank of Flight Sergeant.

Since joining the squadron 4.5 years ago, FS Harnett has jumped head first into every opportunity that the Air Cadets has to offer - particularly roadmarching!

A massive congratulations to FS Harnett on his promotion! We can’t wait to see you take your new role in your stride 👏🥳

Congratulations to the newly appointed Officer Commanding 1244 Squadron - Flying Officer John Chapman 🥳🎉🎊

John has been a member of RAFAC for over 10 years, with the last 18 months in post as Adjutant of 1244 Squadron.

We Will Remember Them.

Yesterday, came together for our annual Act of Remembrance within the community.

Our cadets paraded through Swindon Town Centre alongside fellow service personnel and cadet forces, before attending a service at the Cenotaph. During the ceremony, our Squadron banner was paraded by Sergeant Harnett, and our wreath was laid by Cadet Horwat.

A huge thank you to all our cadets for a fantastic turnout - you represented yourselves and the Squadron with pride.

Now that summer is officially over, we thought we’d look back at one of our highlights! 🤩

We were fortunate enough to welcome staff from one of our local Army Cadet Force units down to the Squadron for an introduction to music!

Over the course of the night, the cadets learned the basics of drumming before culminating in a small performance. Can anyone guess the song they’re playing? 👀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thank you to the staff from Wiltshire Army Cadet Force for giving up your time to visit us - hopefully this is the beginning of music for 🎶
