It is time to say farewell to RT magazine.
* AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE TRUSTEES *
The Reformation Today magazine was launched in 1970 by Erroll Hulse to promote and develop an ongoing reformation within the Lordβs churches. After almost 56 years the magazine is now into its 320th edition and has been served by 3 editors. As trustees of the Reformation Today Trust (RTT) we are immensely grateful for all the editors, writers, and subscribers who have made the magazine a success.
It is with sadness then that we must inform you that RT 320 will be the final edition of the Reformation Today magazine. Despite several attempts over recent years to increase subscriber numbers, the production of the magazine is not financially sustainable, has been running at a loss, and can no longer continue. While we are sad about doing this, we recognise that the way people access theological material has changed and most people are going online or to podcasts rather than subscribing to a printed magazine. We will be in touch with subscribers in the coming months to administer refunds for all outstanding issues of the magazine.
Although the magazine is coming to an end, the work of RTT very much continues through the Carey Conference each January and our support of the thriving African Pastorsβ Conferences. We will also focus more on our website and online presence and plan to develop this aspect of our work as we seek to continue to fulfil the Trustβs objectives of promoting and encouraging the wonderful doctrines of grace from a Reformed Baptist perspective. We will let our supporters know as these plans develop.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our present editor Aaron Prelock for his work. The decision to bring the magazine to an end is nothing to do with the quality of its editing or the articles included. We have always believed that the magazine has been of the highest quality. We are thankful to the Lord for the way he has used the magazine over the years and how it has been influential in the lives and thinking of many.
Ultimately, we are thankful that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.
