With the Welsh Senedd elections just around the corner Unite Community Wales have teamed up with friends from DPAC Wales (Disabled People Against Cuts) to put on a Conference/Discussion titled

“What Do Disabled People Want From A Welsh Government?”

The aim of this event is to bring you guys, our friends from DPAC Wales and any other interested parties together for open discussion about what disabled people want to see from the next Welsh Government and how disabled people can get involved in shaping that.

The ideas and discussions coming out of this can also shape Unite Community Wales campaigns in the very near future.

This will also be a great way to meet with fellow Unite Wales Members and DPAC Wales members so if you've never been involved with Unite Wales before this would be a great and safe way to tip your toe in!

You Don’t Need To Be A Unite Member To Attend

This is a free event; you don't have to pay anything to attend. Lunch will also be provided.

If this sounds interesting to you, please do register and come along!

THIS IS IT. The final countdown. 🚨

We have exactly ONE space left for our RISE UP programme in Wales.

If you’re a young disabled person (18–35) who is tired of being talked about and ready to start doing the talking: this is for you. We’re moving beyond 'consultation' and straight into power. Storytelling, digital campaigning, and making the systems that ignore us actually listen.

Worried about the cost? Don't be. Travel is fully covered. We don't just talk about accessibility; we build it into everything we do.

This isn't about inspiration p**n or 'overcoming' anything. It’s about lived experience being the expertise that changes the world.

Don't let the last spot go. This is YOUR moment to lead.

Disabled people risk losing their benefits if they move in with a partner that works.

This puts them in a situation where their partner is in complete control of the household finances, increasing risk of financial abuse and hardship.

We demand the right to love, freely and without the threat of our independence being stripped away.

Scrap the marriage penalty! 📣

Did you know disabled people don't have equal marriage rights in the UK?

Disabled people face harsh and unfair rules around marriage and cohabitation that put us at risk of financial abuse.

Write to your MP with our template letter to demand our right to love👇
