This is great news 💪 we love to invest in young people’s lives

We are very grateful to the Austin Bailey Foundation Swansea for funding equipment for one of our Young Adult Carers 🏎️🧰

Through the Bridging the Gap fund, we were able to purchase tools to enable this young person to develop their skills, access more work opportunities and eventually start their own business as a mechanic.

Another grant for our regions young people came via Gwasanaeth Mabwysiadu Bae'r Gorllewin/Western Bay Adoption Service

“The Austin Bailey foundation provided us with an £800 grant to take our Western Bay youth clwb away on a residential night away. The group benefited from learning how to manage ponies and chickens. They did a woodland walk and learnt about the history of the farm, as well as lots about the nature. They all had fun on the rope swings, making food together, playing games, star gazing and singing songs. Each individual commented on how much they enjoyed themselves and wanted to return or stay for longer. We watched them support each other, try new things and strengthen their friendships. It was amazing!
We know that all of our individuals have their challenges so we also know that the residential provided a much needed break for their parents and siblings at home”

We are really passionate about supporting young people across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot. One of the ways we do this is through larger Bridging the Gap grants which are specifically to support young people to reach their potential. We recently supported Pontardulais Comprehensive to purchase equipment for Duke of Edinburgh award. This is to make sure that families without the means to purchase equipment can still participate in the amazing programme!

We have grants of up to £2000 available for churches across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot (including the whole of the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon). We are particularly looking for churches who are passionate about youth work, who are doing great social outreach or who have plans to transform communities!
