Happy ! Looking like a butterfly at rest, the Early Thorn (Selenia dentaria) flies after dusk and is common and well distributed throughout the British Isles 🦋

The caterpillars feed on a variety of deciduous trees, including Blackthorn, Hawthorn, Hazel, Silver Birch, Alder and Sallows. 🐛
