Ronnie lives at the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary with Nakima Freddie Twmi the alpha male, Suzi and Fergus , they have a great family group and get along well together Ronnie is a fantastic chimp with a huge personality he loves to entertain the visitors with his sign language , he was born in a zoo in Germany ,Ronnie is well known by all at the sanctuary and is a very well loved chimp

We intend to do our utmost to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need as far as we are able to accommodate them and provide them with a high level of care and quality of life. We aim to continuously improve animal welfare by training and developing our staff and volunteers to their full potential. We intend also to constantly review and improve our facilities for visitors who provide the main source of funding. In this way we hope to maintain a balance between the ethos of the Sanctuary and the necessity for its economic viability and to provide our supporters with a comprehensive understanding of the factors governing the Sanctuaryβs development.
