Storm Dave is causing disruption this Easter and we’ve had to cancel a few sessions which we hate to do but we will never apologise for putting your safety first.

This weeks availability 👇

Wednesday 8th
- Kids Easter Camp 10:30-12:30 3 SPACES (not for beginners)
- Beginner Surf Lesson 10:30-12:30 2 SPACES

Friday 10th
- Adult only beginner Surf Lesson 1:30-3:30 6 SPACES

They’ve always been there. Standing tall on the horizon of Aberavon Beach — quiet, constant, iconic.

These unloaders are part of the steelworks dock infrastructure and are being removed as part of the long-term changes to the steelworks and preparing the area for its next chapter.

But before they go, it feels important to pause.

They’ve witnessed everything —
🌊 wild winter storms and calm summer seas
🌬️ relentless winds and glowing sunsets
🚲 bike rides along the prom
👣 blustery walks, sandy feet, salty hair
💙 everyday moments that make this place home

They appear in so many of our photos that they’ve become part of our memories. That’s why we painted them on the side of our surf school hub — a tribute to what they’ve represented for generations. 💙🎨

This time next year, we don think they’ll be part of our skyline anymore.
But the moments they’ve stood over….those will live on.

📸 We’d love you to share your memories beneath the unloaders — the beach days, the windy walks, the rides, the stillness.
