💙 REMEMBERING THOSE WHO ARE NO LONGER WITH US 💙

As we come together for our Past Players Day tomorrow, we’ll also be remembering the friends and former teammates who sadly can’t be with us.

A heartfelt thank you to the family of Brian Jones for kindly donating these special b**r mats and pint glasses. Such a thoughtful gesture will help us raise a glass in memory of Brian and all those who remain part of our club’s story.

Tomorrow will be a chance to share memories, tell their stories and remember the laughs and friendships we enjoyed together.

Our Past Players Day will go ahead even if the football is cancelled, so please join us from 1pm at Parc Afon Twrch for a catch-up and to raise a glass to absent friends. 💙

All three senior teams are in action this Saturday, with the First and Third Teams at home and our Reserves on the road.

Vs Loughor

We knew from our 1st seeding game we were in for a test and Loughour started with energy and intent, despite our warnings, catching the girls out with an early goal followed by two others.

The girls kept battling throughout and managed to get a foothold in the game, creating some chances through some nice passing whilst cutting out the constant threat. The end of the half probably came at the wrong time as we lost our energy in the 2nd half.

The girls kept at it though and didnt stop, again creating chances that were just cut out. As we were pressing this did create gaps and opportunities for us to be caught on the counter attack. Our defenders and keeper did so well in trying to cut these out but Loughor were organised in their forward play.

The girls kept going which is what we asked and could have scored 1 or 2 but for some last ditch scrabbling in the box.

The Blues were a credit to themselves, the club and their parents Saturday morning!

To go over to Coed Darcy with a bare 9 and show that kind of performance say a lot about them and we couldn’t have been prouder!!

The first half was really competitive with us having a few chances to stay in the game. But conceded a few avoidable goals saw the score 4-0.

The boys came out and again gave everything and had a few chances. But eventually the fatigue from our efforts started show in the legs. But the boys wouldn’t give in and until the final whistle battled for everything whilst still trying to play football the right way.

Well done boys 💙💪👏👏👏

Take nothing away from Coed Darcy quality team and played some great football. Great game to watch!!

MOM could have been all nine of them, their attitude and work rate was a joy to see but went to Ollie Seales, absolute beast and machine!! He was everywhere today!! Well done mate!! 💙💪

Greens had a great result Saturday morning in the local derby, and coming away with a win was great to see.

To be honest Ystrad played the better football for the 1st 20 minutes and we were a little worried, but it was a great through ball to get the 1st goal, which settled us down.

We were a little lucky to be 2 - 0 up at half time, but sometimes effort is what you need to grind out results, and we had that in abundance.

We were far more disciplined and looked after the ball better in the second half and we really deserved the win.

There was an unusal amount of extra time for them to get the second goal, but every member of the squad put 110% in today.

Cwm Greens 3-2 Ystrad

MOTM was cool as a cucumber at the back today, so well done Riley.

We are half way through the season and in good shape.

A very early and cold start for the 16s today. we didnt get going at all in the first half. I think we all wished we were still in bed and rightly trailed 1-0 at half time. The second half was different we made it alot more competitive created plenty of chances and got a goal back with a well taken goal through Bella on her weaker foot. both teams had chances to win it. but the points were shared at the final whistle. 👏👏👏

The girls were absolutely brilliant today, leaving me and Andrew with very little to do apart from trying to keep Comet updated.
