The Trustees of Abercrave Miners Welfare Hall have been working on a 10-year plan for the hall's future.

We are preparing funding applications to the National Lottery and other grant bodies. To support these applications, we need feedback and input from local residents to show clear community need and priorities.

🎥 Part of this episode was filmed here at **Abercrave Welfare Hall**, featuring contributions from local residents.

The programme follows **Melanie Walters** — best known as Gwen from *Gavin and Stacey* — as she explores her Welsh roots, including her family connections to **Abercraf**.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community and its place in Welsh culture — don’t miss it!

Upcoming village event!
All welcome to join us, as we relive the highlights of our community, immortalised forever in photographs, and lovingly spoken about by those who knew our village in different times, guided by Tim Cynlais - our very own local historian and author of sell out books based on photographic history of our area.
A night to be remembered for generations ✨️

We are looking for a new staff member on a part time basis.

Will include bar work and all aspects that come with it including cleaning and cooking.

Experience in the above is essential and ideally have a NVQ Level 2 food hygiene certificate although we are happy to put the right applicant through the course.

This role will be for evening and weekend work and can be very fast paced on times so must be very work oriented with a can do attitude.

For the right person there will be a lot of hours available.
