Swanland Village Association Swanland Village Association The Swanland Preservation Society was formed in 1987, primarily to fight the proposed Beech Hill development. sr
The current S.V.A.

In 1989 it was renamed the Swanland Village Association (SVA) to reflect its growing range of activities. Since then it has evolved to be a dynamic force within the village responsible for many new initiatives. In a nutshell, the SVA exists primarily to keep Swanland a pleasant place to live. It works closely with the Parish Council and other local Authorities. committee members are:

Christ Church Food Bank Donation Point (Swanland Pond)
The Food Bank is open during Saturday Coffee Mornings from 10.30am to 12 noon.
Urgently needed: Tinned Soup; Beans/Spaghetti;
UHT Milk; Tinned Fruit; Coffee; Biscuits; Tinned Tomatoes.
The demand for food is much higher than donations so please continue to help those who are struggling in difficult times in Hull and the surrounding areas.

Many thanks to Stikkyfingers for another wonderful evening at Swanland Village Hall. This Rolling Stones tribute band had people dancing from the very first song.
Our next Swanland Live event is Flossie Malavialle on Saturday 20th June at 8pm. She is an outstanding folk singer over on tour from her native France. Tickets £8 from Christine telephone 01482 637085 or email [email protected]

Swanland Village Hall said goodbye to our unique caretaker Roy, who decided to step down and enjoy a more relaxed life. He will be sadly missed. We wish him well as he leaves the hall in the safe hands of Adam our new caretaker.
