Derbyshire Time Swap – Time Well Spent

As the Derbyshire Time Swap project draws to an end, this page will be shut down on the 26th of October 2026. We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. 🥰

Over the years, our community has shown the incredible power of sharing time, skills and kindness. But the true legacy of Derbyshire Time Swap goes beyond the hours exchanged. It lives on in the friendships formed, the connections made and the stronger, more supportive communities we have built together.

Although Derbyshire Time Swap is coming to an end, the spirit behind it will live on. We’re excited to look ahead to Together Derbyshire, a new service that will continue to champion social connections, community involvement and belonging. 🫂

Thank you to every member and organisation who has helped make Derbyshire Time Swap so special. You have made a lasting difference, and we hope the friendships and connections you’ve made will continue to flourish.

Stay connected and find out more about Together Derbyshire by visiting www.togetherderbyshire.co.uk, or emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. 🔗

With heartfelt thanks,

The Derbyshire Time Swap Team 💙🧡

The Derbyshire Time Swap service will come to an end on the 31st of October 2026.

A new ‘social connection service’ will be starting on the 1st of November 2026 and will be available across the county.

This service will build on many of the things people have said they value most about existing projects – including meeting people, getting involved in local activities and feeling part of their community - while offering a more flexible approach to supporting communities; increasing social connection & reducing loneliness.

Over the coming months, we will be working closely with our members, to provide information on other projects and services that you may wish to access when the time comes for Derbyshire Time Swap to come to an end. One of those options will be the new ‘social connection service’.

We will ensure that you know what is on in your local area as well as other timebank opportunities that may be available.

We would encourage you all to continue swapping in 2026, we still have an opportunity to really make a difference. The team and your Time Swap Development Officer are here to support you.

We are committed to Derbyshire Time Swap, right until the end of the funding period (October 2026) and will be working hard to make sure that none of our members are left behind.

If you have any queries, please contact us at [email protected] or on 01283 219761. 🧡

That’s completely normal. Trying something new can feel like a big step — but this is one of the easiest, most rewarding ways to get involved in your community.

You don’t need special qualifications. You don’t need lots of free time. You just need one thing: an hour to share.

Whether it’s sharing a hobby, offering a skill, or simply having a chat over a cup of tea — your time has real value.

And the best part? You’ll get that time back when you need it.

So if you’ve been thinking about it…now is your time to give it a go ⏳

Join us today and see what a difference one hour can make. 🩵🧡
