Today, cadets from 219 (Sutton & Cheam) Squadron joined cadets from across and to attend a special service at St Clement Danes in London to mark 85 years of the Air Training Corps.

Parading with the Surrey Wing banner, our cadets conducted themselves with pride and professionalism throughout, turning out immaculately and representing both the squadron and the Corps with distinction. A fitting way to commemorate an important milestone in our history.

It’s not every day that we see two members of staff complete the transition into uniform at the same time, so we are delighted to congratulate Plt Off Duffy and Plt Off Mirfin, who earlier this year spent a week at RAF Cranwell completing their Combined Initial Course.

The course concluded with a visit to the iconic RAF Cranwell College Hall, where they graduated alongside their peers.

A huge well done from everyone at 219 to all the newly appointed Officers and SNCOs, we look forward to seeing what you achieve next.

On Thursday night, we held our final parade night of the year with a pizza and disco evening to celebrate the end of a fantastic term.

Our NCO team handed out some light-hearted paper plate awards, and Ma’am addressed the squadron to thank cadets and staff for their hard work and commitment throughout the year.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we look forward to seeing you all again in January.
