Day One: Aachen🇩🇪
Flight Sergeant Joubert has had an amazing first day on the International Air Cadet Exchange, and has had the opportunity to see the Eurofighter Typhoon take off from 10 feet away! Meeting the pilots, the group discussed international military communication and highlighted the importance of unity and mutual understanding of others, which is an aim of the exchange itself.

Of course, after the first experience, the UK exchange cadets educated foreign cadets on the British way to make tea in a German supermarket! Look out for more!

On Friday, we held our annual Jack Petchey Awards Evening, celebrating the achievements of our cadets and marking 85 years of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

The evening was an opportunity to recognise the hard work, dedication and accomplishments of our cadets over the past year. Congratulations to everyone who received an award, you should all be incredibly proud.

A special thank you to FS Joubert’s sister for creating our fantastic anniversary cake, and to CI Lopez for the delicious lemon drizzle cake, cupcakes and brownies, which helped make the evening even more memorable.
