BFBS National E-Sports Rocket League Final!

Last weekend, four 219 cadets attended the National E-Sports Final at the RAF Museum London. This opportunity shaped ideas for bringing E-Sports to our squadron and taught them how the E-Sports industry is growing in both popularity and importance within the RAF.

Two cadets attended as ambassadors for the RAFAC: a special privilege involving hosting VIPs, helping to run the event and representing the corps as a whole.

Swipe to see cadet testimonies!

“It’s been an incredible opportunity and an honour to learn about why eSports matters to the armed forces from the very members that compete. Supporting activities for the public and fellow cadets to enjoy is satisfying as always, and getting to walk around the museum and see the exhibits was much fun!” - Cadet Sergeant Kim

“We attended the BFBS Pro League Grand Final at RAF Museum Hendon and also helped with many of the stands set up alongside the event, including sim racing and VR laser tag. Not only was the event very entertaining, the talks held on E-Sports and how they link to the military were incredibly insightful as well.” - Cadet Yang

Day One: Aachen🇩🇪
Flight Sergeant Joubert has had an amazing first day on the International Air Cadet Exchange, and has had the opportunity to see the Eurofighter Typhoon take off from 10 feet away! Meeting the pilots, the group discussed international military communication and highlighted the importance of unity and mutual understanding of others, which is an aim of the exchange itself.

Of course, after the first experience, the UK exchange cadets educated foreign cadets on the British way to make tea in a German supermarket! Look out for more!
