Little Aston Twinning

Little Aston Twinning Little Aston Twinning was formed in 1981 when it was twinned with the French town of St Georges sur Baulche in the Burgundy region of France.

Little Aston was twinned with St Georges sur Baulche in 1981 and the Twinning group has been arranging visits to our friends in St Georges ever since. Visits are open to members of all ages and usually take place alternate years in April or May, with the French coming here one year and the English returning there the following year. Lots of families have forged strong friendships over the years, w

ith a few families still visiting each other for over 30 years now! The Little Aston Twinning is a sub section of LACA (Little Aston Community Association) which is a registered charity. We fundraise throughout the year to pay for the visits that we organise for our French friends when they visit, and they do the same for when we visit. Visiting France with the Twinning group is a great way to get to know the true France, improve your language ability, embrace the culture, cuisine, and, of course, the wine! We usually travel by coach and the coach stays with us all week, taking us on the trips that the French committee have organised, so there is always someone English to chat to if you're feeling out of your depth. It is usual to host the people that you stay with the following year, helping them to get a better education in all things British.
