All this new edition talk had me feeling a little nostalgic! So I took Tactic back in time last week and decided to try out Warhammer 7th Edition.

You can see the rules are showing their age, but those armies looked incredible on the table. We had the Ultramarines led by Cato Sicarius taking on the Necrons commanded by Imotekh the Stormlord. It was a lot of fun!

Hello all!

We’re back with some more Warhammer, we’ve had some Eldar on the tables this week. Look at those little duel disk guys. (I personally reckon they all like a bit of Yu-Gi-Oh).

And we’ve had the Iron Warriors back in Tactic with the new Defiler. I think Iron Warriors are drawn to Tactic on account of the hazard stripe tape we have on the carpet, but that’s just my conspiracy theory… 🧐

Hello all!

I wanted to show you all what Tactic looks like now! The new ceiling is genuinely a game changer. The space is so much lighter and noticeably warmer than before.

I’ve also re-arranged the tables so you can access the shelves and move around the space more easily. It kind of makes the space feel larger, or that could just be a result of all the residual magic from the D&D games we’ve had here 🤔

A quick update from Tactic North East:

Just a reminder that the centre is currently closed while essential building works take place. We expect the closure to last around 6–8 weeks and we’ll confirm a reopening date as soon as we have one.

We’ll continue to post updates on our website and across our social media pages as the work progresses.

Thank you again to everyone for your patience and understanding. We know it’s not easy being away from the centre and we really appreciate the support. We’re looking forward to welcoming you back once everything is finished and ready to go.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at Tactic North East.

Thank you to all our players, families, supporters and partners for spending time with us this year. It has been a busy and positive 12 months for the centre, and we are proud of the community that continues to grow around Tactic North East. We hope you all enjoy a peaceful Christmas and a fresh start to the new year.

The centre is now closed for approximately 6–8 weeks while essential building works take place. We know this isn’t ideal, but the work is necessary to improve our space and make sure it continues to be safe, comfortable and welcoming.

We will share updates on our website and through our social media channels as soon as we have clearer dates for reopening, so please keep an eye out there for information.

We really look forward to welcoming everyone back once the work is complete. Until then, we want to thank you again for your support and wish you a happy Christmas, a good rest and a positive start to 2026.
