This Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to the amazing individuals who give their time, energy and passion to support our SeaVenturers. 💙

Whether you’re leading activities, supporting sessions, planning opportunities or simply being there to guide and encourage our young people, you make a real difference every single week.

Because of you, our SeaVenturers gain confidence, skills, friendships and experiences they’ll carry for life. 🌊⚓

Your dedication helps create a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment where young people can thrive and we truly couldn’t do it without you.

⚓️ SeaVenturers - Sunderland ⚓️

🌊 05/03 - Egg Drop Experiment

Our SeaVenturers completed their first STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) module and conducted an ‘Egg Drop’ experiment!

Our SeaVenturers drew out their designs and individually created a protective ‘shell’ for each of their eggs 🥚 with only 2 out of 5 of the eggs breaking inside their creations!

🏃‍♀️ 12/03 - Keeping Active: Warming Up

Our SeaVenturers completed their first Keeping Active module, where they learnt about how muscles work and different ways of warming up through ‘Pulse Raisers, Stretching and Mobilising’ activities. 🙆‍♀️

Then we go the badminton set out for some recreation time and played against each other! 🏸

We hope you all had an amazing half term — and we’re excited to be back open this week! We can’t wait to see everyone on Thursday evening.

Here’s what we’ve got planned:
🥚 A fun and hands-on STEM Egg Drop challenge
🧏 An introduction to communicating through sign language

Don’t forget the task we set you before half term — bring along your “3 Goals for Sea Venturers” creations so you can share them at the start of the night! ✨

⚓ SeaVenturers Sunderland - Getting to know each other! ⚓

Last night our SeaVenturers had a fantastic time taking part in some fun activities to get to know each other and our adult volunteers better! After some Ice Breakers, we played a bit of ‘SeaVenturer Bingo’ and talked about our 3 goals for the next 12 months 😄🙌

A huge well done and welcome aboard to our newly enrolled SeaVenturers: Edward, Ričard, Jack and Jake 🌊👏

And our new volunteers: Stephanie, Katherine and Katy! ⚓️🎉
