It was a pleasure to attend Lodge of Concord No.6859 on a Fraternal visit as Master of Sunderland Freemasons - Mowbray Lodge No. 5373 tonight. Lodge of Concord was the first Lodge I ever visited just two days into my Masonic career and holds a special place in my heart. Tonight I witnessed an excellent Ceremony of Passing for Bro. Andrew Robertson who was faultless with his answers and for whom I see a strong Masonic future. I was also impressed by the care, attention and preparation that the IPM WBro Tony Wilkinson and his team put in to make the evening a memorable one for Andy. The Degree of Passing, which marks the midway of a Mason’s journey through the four ceremonies of Pure Antient Freemasonry was capped off by a faultless presentation of the Second Degree Tracing Board by the Lodge Tyler WBro Derek Robson. I was ably supported by one of my MM tonight Bro Terence South whose keenness to learn and whose company I enjoy very much. I was also delighted to be able to spend the evening with my good friends WBros Paul Swansbury, Norman Reekie and David Dorward at the Festive Board. Congratulations to all at Lodge 6859.
All in all an excellent Masonic evening.
