It was a pleasure to attend Lodge of Concord No.6859 on a Fraternal visit as Master of Sunderland Freemasons - Mowbray Lodge No. 5373 tonight. Lodge of Concord was the first Lodge I ever visited just two days into my Masonic career and holds a special place in my heart. Tonight I witnessed an excellent Ceremony of Passing for Bro. Andrew Robertson who was faultless with his answers and for whom I see a strong Masonic future. I was also impressed by the care, attention and preparation that the IPM WBro Tony Wilkinson and his team put in to make the evening a memorable one for Andy. The Degree of Passing, which marks the midway of a Mason’s journey through the four ceremonies of Pure Antient Freemasonry was capped off by a faultless presentation of the Second Degree Tracing Board by the Lodge Tyler WBro Derek Robson. I was ably supported by one of my MM tonight Bro Terence South whose keenness to learn and whose company I enjoy very much. I was also delighted to be able to spend the evening with my good friends WBros Paul Swansbury, Norman Reekie and David Dorward at the Festive Board. Congratulations to all at Lodge 6859.
All in all an excellent Masonic evening.

More wonderful work from the MCF! Supporting independence and social inclusion through organisations with the correct skills to make a difference!

We are proud to support dozens of charities every year who support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

⭐ Between April and December last year, we awarded £986,200 in grants to charities who work with children with SEND to increase their social inclusion and independence, improve their access to early intervention services, and support their families to better understand their children.

Great night this evening at Sunderland Freemasons - Mowbray Lodge No. 5373. Third Degree for Bro Tom Lawson whose answers were impeccable and a proud father in Martin Lawson. The WM of Vedra Lodge No.3137, Brandon Smith, was in attendance on a Fraternal Visit and hard to believe he’s only been in the Craft for 4 years. He is already an accomplished Freemason. We also had the WM of St Peter’s Lodge No.8953, Paul Richardson, join us who told me how surprised he was at how much he is enjoying being a Freemason - so much so that almost every Friday night is rehearsal night with his friends followed by a whisky of course. An abundance of Visitors from Lodges across the Province of Durham and one stand in officer, Alex King of Universities Lodge No.2352 gets a big thank you for supporting us following a last minute apology. Andrew Simpson our SD did a wonderful presentation of the WT - something for others to aspire to. Last meeting before the recess is on 5th May so if you would like to join us email [email protected]
