This morning, we had the opportunity to join BBC Radio Newcastle representing Fightback Charity.

It was a great opportunity to discuss the incredible impact the charity is having across the city and wider region, bringing communities together and providing practical, social, and educational support for people living with disabilities, older people, and families who need help accessing essential services.

It was especially powerful hearing Diana’s story and learning more about why Fightback was founded. Living with a disability from a young age, Diana understands first-hand the challenges many disabled people face when trying to access the right support. After volunteering in the community and witnessing these struggles first-hand, she founded Fightback Charity in 2004. For the past 22 years, the charity has continued changing lives and supporting people across our communities.

Fightback is more than just a charity, it is life-changing support that makes a real difference every single day, and we are proud to be part of that community.
