Last Thursday we were treated, by the Play Team at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, to a lovely afternoon tea.
They asked us to come along so they could say thank you for all the support we had given them, over the past 18 years.
They had said thank you every time we delivered party goodies. But this was a special afternoon for us. We appreciated their kindness very much.
Just 3 of us were able to go.
We had delicious cakes and a lovely platter of fruits.
Tea, coffee and orange juice.
Before we left they presented us with flowers and cards.
It has always been absolute pleasure to supply party goodies for their many parties. It was very emotional hearing how the parties had brightened the children's day, how their faces lit up when entering the playroom decorated in the theme of the day. The Smile bags, cakes and sweets, had been a hit from the start. And how they remembered different parties they had attended, over the course of their treatment and aftercare.
