Dramatize holds various provisions for all ages and abilities, we enable young adults with learning disabilities to further their personal development through the art of theatre. Thomas’s first work experience at our tea room… and bread pudding is on the menu! 👨‍🍳🍞

Apron on and straight into the baking, Thomas has been getting hands-on, learning new skills and helping prepare something delicious for our customers.

Our tea rooms give students the chance to build confidence, gain practical work experience and see their hard work become something the community can enjoy. Every visit helps create opportunities like this. 💜

For World Teachers’ Day, we’re celebrating our lovely Patience and Gloria! 💜

With the support of our amazing support team, they put so much care, creativity and hard work into our students’ Functional Skills and ASDAN lessons, helping them build skills they can use in everyday life.

Behind every achievement are all the little steps: explaining something a different way, giving someone time to try again, and believing in them while they find their confidence.

Patience, Gloria and our wonderful support team, thank you for seeing what each student can achieve and helping them get there. You make such a difference, and we’re lucky to have you! 🌟

🎨 Did you know we run a CREATE programme at Dramatize? 💜

Our students make handmade items to sell through our community centres, tea rooms and craft fairs — giving their creativity a real purpose and a place in our local community! 🌟

From fabric wreaths to creations using dried flowers and lavender, students explore materials, develop designs and make products they can proudly share with others.

Along the way, there are opportunities to practise planning, following instructions, working together and checking the quality of a finished piece. Selling their creations also opens up learning around pricing, money and customer service — useful skills for everyday life and future work.

Everyone can contribute in their own way, with support tailored to their abilities and interests. Each contribution matters, and seeing someone choose to buy something you helped create can give such a boost to confidence and pride. 🥰

When you buy a Dramatize creation, you’re recognising the time, effort and imagination behind it — and supporting opportunities for adults with learning disabilities to take an active role in their community.

🌱 Did you know we run a horticulture programme at Dramatize? 🌼

From discovering the scent of fresh herbs to feeling different leaves and caring for plants, there are so many ways to get involved — and you don’t have to get your hands muddy to enjoy it! 💚

For our students, these sessions offer opportunities to make choices, communicate preferences, build practical skills and share experiences with friends. Planting and nurturing can help develop patience, coordination and confidence, with that lovely sense of achievement when something you’ve cared for begins to grow. 🌿

And as these photos show, we can bring nature indoors too! Exploring colours, textures and scents means students can take part in their own way, at their own pace, with support that suits them.

Sometimes it’s learning a new skill. Sometimes it’s a moment of curiosity, connection or calm. Every one of those moments matters. 💚

Growing plants, growing confidence and enjoying the little things together. 🌻

In case you wondered what we’ve been up to at Dramatize… we’ve formed a band. 🥁😂

We have drums, we have a bucket hat, we have BIG headline energy. Agreeing on a band name may take another six months.

Meanwhile, our art department is producing masterpieces and the boat crew are enjoying a cruise like they’ve already made their millions. 🚤🎨

Absolutely no albums released. Already enough photos for the greatest hits cover. 💜🤣

An iron. A drumstick. A captain’s hat. And a whole lot of life in between. 💜

At Dramatize, there’s room for learning how to do it yourself—and laughing when the baking gets messy. For making music, making friends and making the most of a boat trip with your captain’s hat firmly on! 🚤👨‍✈️

We love the moments when someone gets stuck in, shows us what they can do or discovers something they enjoy.

And we love the moments when everyone’s laughing so much that the original plan goes out the window. 😂

Because having support should leave plenty of room for adventure, friendship, pride and fun.

A place to be yourself, with people who are glad you’re there. That’s Dramatize. 💜
