Well.. where do I start?

I have so many "thank yous" to share. Thank you to our 23 gardeners who kindly opened their doors to let people in. Thank you to all the friends and family who supported the event, giving up their time to serve refreshments or 'man the door'. Thank you to the St Nicholas Hospice Care volunteers for operating the market stall in the centre of town and staffing the shop. Thank you to our sponsors; Moore Green Chartered Accountants, Swift-Dock, Clarke's Bakery, , for enabling us to print some very well received programmes and tickets. Thank you to Paul Jones for capturing all the gardens so beautifully, to every local business who allowed us to display a flyer in their window, to anyone who shared or spread the word about the event. And finally, thank you to the hundreds of visitors, from far and wide, who came to support, were polite and respectful of people's homes, complimentary and grateful, and generous in their donations.

Without all of these people (and anyone else that I've forgotten, sorry), Sudbury Open Gardens 2026 wouldn't have been the success it was.

We won't know the final figures for a little while, but I'm sure we've raised a good amount for the Hospice, and have had a hell of a lot of fun along the way.

Excuse the AI-generated image, but I just wanted to share the news that St Nicholas Hospice Care will have a stall on Sudbury market this Saturday to coincide with our event.

This means that, in addition to the shop on Gainsborough Street, you'll have another central location to get tickets, programmes and information about the Sudbury Open Gardens 2026.

Thank you to the SNHC volunteers who have offered to run the stall for us, your support is greatly appreciated.

⏰ Late addition! ⏰

Our programme has been printed, and our official 22-garden route confirmed, but Vera and Charlie were so keen to support our event and the causes, that they wanted to join in anyway.

You can find their garden at 44 Pot Kiln Road in Great Cornard, not too far from our number '22' garden, so do stop by if you are visiting that area, I'm sure they'd be delighted to see you. Vera will be selling plants and offering refreshments too.
