Just £14 to go until we reach £700 for Tiny Tickers 🩷

We are so incredibly close now, and every single pound really does matter.

1 in 100 babies are born with a congenital heart defect. Many of these conditions aren’t obvious at birth, which means early scans, trained professionals, and fast diagnosis can be life-saving!

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared and supported so far💪🏼❤️

We’re walking 100k over 3 days - that’s about 2.4 marathons on 2 pairs of very sore feet 😅😳

It’s going to be tough - both physically and mentally, but every step is for a reason that’s very close to our hearts.

Our daughter was born with half a working heart. If her heart condition hadn’t been spotted early, she wouldn’t be here today. Sadly, around 1,000 newborns leave hospital with undetected heart conditions every year.

We’re walking to raise money for Tiny Tickers, a charity that helps children born with congenital heart defects get the care they desperately need!

We’re doing the hard part - but we need your help too. 🙏🏻

Every donation, no matter the size, supports babies born with CHD. And every share, like, or word of encouragement spreads the word and helps keep these tiny hearts beating strong ❤️

Just £19 to go until we reach £700 for Tiny Tickers ❤️

We are so close now — and we want to share why every single pound matters.

1 in 100 babies are born with CHD. Many of these conditions aren’t obvious at birth, which means babies can become critically unwell before anyone realises something is wrong.

Your donations help Tiny Tickers to:
🩺 Train healthcare professionals to recognise heart defects earlier
👶 Support specialist heart scans for newborns and babies
⏱️ Speed up diagnosis, giving babies the best possible chance
💛 Support families facing some of the hardest moments of their lives

Early diagnosis saves lives — and we are now just £19 away from helping make that happen for even more tiny hearts.

If you’re able to donate or share, thank you so much for helping us take this final step and thank you so much to everyone who has shared, donated and supported so far. 💪🏼❤️

It’s Wear Red Day!
Are you wearing red today?
Wearing red helps show support and raise awareness for CHD. ❤️‍🩹

On the 6th February, we’re inviting everyone to wear red to help raise awareness for Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). ❤️

You can also show your support by changing your profile picture to our CHD awareness image.
Every photo and every red outfit helps spark conversations and reminds families affected by CHD that they are not alone.

Let’s turn our feeds red and make CHD visible ❤️

TWO WEEKS TO GO! 💪🏼

In just two weeks, we’ll be setting off on a 100k walk across Suffolk — every step taken with love, hope, and determination ❤️‍🩹

We’re walking for Tiny Tickers, and most importantly for our beautiful little girl Primrose. She faces life every day with half a working heart, and yet she shows us more strength, courage, and joy than we ever thought possible! 🥹❤️

Tiny Tickers supports families like ours and helps fund vital care for babies born with heart conditions. This walk is our way of giving back, raising awareness, and walking for every tiny heart that needs a little extra help ❤️‍🩹

If you’re able to donate, share, or send us some encouragement, it truly means the world to us. Your support will be carried with us every single mile ✨

❤️‍🩹 Congenital Heart Disease affects more babies than many people realise. ❤️‍🩹

1 in 100 babies are born with CHD.
Over 6,000 babies are born with major CHD each year in the UK.
Only 53% of cases are detected before birth.
Around 1,000 newborns leave UK hospitals every year with undiagnosed CHD.

CHD is the most common birth defect and accounts for up to 12% of all infant deaths in the UK — around 240 babies every year. Even more heartbreakingly, up to 15% of CHD may remain undiagnosed when they die.

Early detection saves lives — and that’s why our walk and fundraising matters.

When CHD is identified early:

Serious complications like heart failure, brain injury, or death can be avoided.
Births can be planned in specialist centres with expert teams.
Babies can receive treatment as soon as they need it.
Surgery can be planned for the best possible outcomes.
Emergencies and urgent hospital transfers can be avoided.
Parents can be supported, informed, and prepared.

The hope behind every step we take:
When detected, many heart conditions are treatable. Surgery survival rates are very high, and 80% of babies born with CHD now survive beyond 16 years of age, thanks to advances in care and the incredible work of NHS cardiac teams.

We’re walking to raise awareness, support families, and help give every baby the best possible start in life.
Every step, every donation, every share helps make a difference. ❤️

❤️‍🩹 What is CHD? ❤️‍🩹

CHD stands for Congenital Heart Disease. Congenital heart disease is the term used to describe a number of different problems that affect how well the heart works. The word “congenital” means the problem occurs while the fetus is being formed, meaning the condition is present at birth.

CHD is the most common birth defect, affecting 1 in 100 babies. Some forms are mild and need little to no treatment, while others are complex and require surgery or lifelong care.

A baby is born with CHD every 2 hours in the UK.

Thanks to advances in medicine, many people with CHD grow up to live a full life, but awareness, early diagnosis, and ongoing care matter ❤️‍🩹

The winner of the chocolate heart jar has been contacted and chosen to donate their prize to Primrose’s hospice - East Anglia Children’s Hospices, and we are so touched by this kindness. 💜

Thank you so much to Elle Rose and for turning a simple game into something that truly means the world to our family. 🤍
