We have a collection point here at The Stevenson Centre if you’d like to donate any items to Storehouse Foodbank ☺️

We have been very busy already this week and urgently need the following items, as we have nearly emptied our trays. 😱
We have drop-off donation points at Waitrose/ Sainsburys/ our local Co-Ops in Long Melford, Lavenham & The Drift, Gt Cornard. The GCPC @ Stevenson Centre. Courtyard stores at Pebmarsh. We also have our public donation drop-off every Thursday 10.30-noon.
We would be most grateful for your help.

POLITE REQUEST
If you have teenagers that play at the recreation ground in Great Cornard, please could you speak with them about littering, climbing on the teen shelter, climbing on The Stevenson Centre roof and about repeatedly kicking footballs against the building and people’s garden fences? Lastly, and more importantly, the dangers of riding their bikes quickly up and down the approach road and in the car park, especially during the day when the Centre is very busy. The Parish Council has received multiple complaints and safety concerns from local residents about these issues and in particular, large groups of teenagers in the car park overnight (as late as 3am!) making alot of noise, kicking footballs, revving cars and climbing on our building. All incidents, we believe, have been reported by the residents to the Police for investigation.
We firmly believe that youngsters need to be out having fun but also be mindful of how their actions can affect others and about damage to private and public property.

There have been some fly tipping incidences here at The Stevenson Centre. We do have CCTV and will be reporting those that have left their rubbish and electrical items as it is a criminal offence.
The rubbish bins are for the centre use ONLY & will be locked.

The clothes collection bin & bottle banks are here for the public, we have no small electrical bin you need to go to Sudbury Recycling Centre for electricals. All electrical bins were recalled by Babergh District Council.
