A reminder that the Time to Change Village (organised by VASP, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and the Time to Change anti stigma campaign) is coming to Bury St Edmunds next Thursday 19th November as part of this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On event!

It’s set to attract 6,000 visitors, offering a fantastic opportunity to promote your services.

If your organisation is unable to be there on the day but you have leaflets and/or promotional items you would like to provide for inclusion on the VASP stand – giveaways would be particularly welcome – these can be dropped off at the Recovery College in the days prior to the event.

You can drop items off during office hours to the Main Reception, which is located on the opposite side of the courtyard to the Recovery College at: Blomfield House, Looms Lane, Bury St Edmunds IP33 1HE

We hope to represent as many organisations as possible on the day, at what is set to be a fantastic event!

A public Time to Change Village is planned in Bury St Edmunds! VASP, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and the Time to Change anti stigma campaign are working in partnership to bring the pop-up Village to Bury on Thursday 19th November as part of this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On event and Charity Night.

Get involved! The Switch On event runs from 2.30pm – 8.30pm and attracts around 6,000 visitors each year, so this will be a fantastic opportunity to promote your organisation’s services and the collective work of the VASP to the local community in the “Village Surgery”. Please contact Julia at [email protected] by Friday 30th October if you would like to get involved.

We also need a number of volunteers with lived experience of mental health problems to help set up and/or engage with the public on the day, in order to encourage conversations about mental health. If you, your clients or contacts would like to take part with this aspect of the event, please contact [email protected] for more information.

Please SHARE this post to help make the event as fantastic as possible!

Events include activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as more specific mental health and emotional wellbeing activities and awareness campaigns.
Suffolk Health and Wellbeing Month is held each October to coincide with World Mental Health Day on 10 October. The campaign is co-ordinated and promoted jointly by Healthwatch Suffolk, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Suffolk Family Carers, Suffolk Libraries, Suffolk Mind, Suffolk User Forum, Volunteering Matters and other wellbeing professionals and organisations as part of the Suffolk VASP (Voluntary & Statutory Partnership) for Mental Health.
