3rd Sudbury Scout Group

3rd Sudbury Scout Group This page has been created to give an insight into Scouting in Sudbury, Suffolk. We keep our programme varied and offer a wide range of adventurous activities.

We have been Scouting in Sudbury since 1912, currently we have a Beaver colony, 2 Cub packs, Scout and Sea Scout Troops and support the local Explorer and Network sections. With the dedication of our volunteers we are able to run weekly meetings for young people aged 6 - 18 as well as weekend activities and residential experiences. If you are Interested in joining 3rd Sudbury Scouting, then please

get in touch using the contact details provided on this page. As Scouts we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. That’s why we encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week The Scouts help over 400,000 young people across the UK enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing,' when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves. These skills have helped Scouts become astronauts and Olympians, as well as teachers and social workers. We believe in bringing people together and helping them feel part of something bigger. We celebrate difference and stand against intolerance, always. We’re a worldwide force for good, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures across 218 countries, with 28 million young people worldwide. Join the adventure, be part of something great.
