Get ready for a massive weekend of fun from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th June 2026 at the STURMINSTER BIG WEEKEND! You can enjoy a weekend-long Real Ale & Cider Festival with live music at THE EXCHANGE, Saturday markets, and the STURMINSTER NEWTON ROTARY 'The Big Lunch' on Sunday.

And, on Saturday and Sunday, you can ditch the car and hop on a free vintage shuttle bus (including a classic Routemaster!) running from Station Road Car Park straight over to the SHILLINGSTONE 1960 GALA WEEKEND. It’s the perfect, stress-free way to enjoy two incredible local events in one go—just remember the buses run once the driver decides there are enough passengers on board, so bring the whole family to help fill the seats!

🚗☀️ Well, well… would you look at that — the sun has finally remembered where Sturminster Newton is!

Over 200 vehicles already parked up on the Recreation Ground (yes, TWO HUNDRED… we counted… roughly… with some enthusiastic guessing 😄), and the best bit? FREE parking all day in the public car parks!

Fresh air, sunshine, and not a parking meter in sight — it’s basically a miracle.

If you’re still at home wondering what to do, take this as your official sign: get down here before the clouds remember their job 🌤️
