Fennell's Alpacas at The Well!
After our short summer break, we are excited to celebrate our re-opening on September 11th with a visit from Fennell’s Alpacas. The owners, Rayelle and Elliot Borthwick, will be bringing 3 alpacas: Aztec, Berry and Daisy into The Well for a unique opportunity to get up close to these curious but timid animals.
Alpacas, native to the Andes of South America are gentle animals, known for their supremely soft fleece which is made into luxury fabrics and garments. There will be opportunities to feed, stroke and of course take lots of photos. A short talk will take place every 30 minutes along with opportunities to ask questions and enjoy a display of the spinning and weaving process.
Our doors open at 10.30am with the alpacas on hand from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Bring the kids, Granny and the family next door to have a coffee, share a cake and enjoy some time spent with the animals.

Wednesdays @ The Well
Announces the re-launch of our popular drop-in venue, where we offer sensibly priced refreshments and engaging weekly events.

The Well, is part of the Stroud Centre for Peace and The Arts, and is situated in The Shambles, Stroud, (formerly known as St Laurence Church Hall). It is being revitalised to become an inviting venue, offering a broad range of community and creative activities and events.

Wednesdays Well is a place of welcome for all – to relax, refresh, recharge and relate. We are open from 10.30 – 13.30 with the offer of good quality coffee, homemade cakes and light lunches - at a price that won’t break the bank! There is a large play area for the youngsters, newspapers and board games. Each week we hope to arrange a specific event or activity. Our mission is to create a friendly, inclusive environment, whether you are looking to meet new people, catch up with friends, enjoy a safe and welcoming space for your children to play in, join in a variety of activities that cater to diverse interests, or just enjoy a peaceful cuppa while reading the paper.
