🥵🌍 As another spell of exceptionally high summer temperatures grips the UK, we're reminded that the climate crisis isn't a distant threat—it's here, now.
Record-breaking heat is becoming the new normal. The science is clear: **we cannot keep expanding fossil fuel production while expecting a safe future for our children.**
This weekend, families from across Stroud gathered in the town centre to send a clear message to our incoming Prime Minister, Andy Burnham:
**🛑 Stop all new oil and gas.**
We were proud to stand alongside an inspiring intergenerational community of campaigners from Greenpeace, Just Stop Oil, Extinction Rebellion, the Green Party and others. Parents, grandparents, children and friends came together because we all share one simple belief: **our children deserve a liveable future.**
Approving new oil and gas projects will only deepen the climate crisis. Instead, we need bold investment in clean, renewable energy, climate-resilient homes, resilient local food systems, biodiversity restoration, and communities that are equipped to adapt to the impacts of climate change that are already unavoidable.
To and : please show real climate leadership by stopping all new oil and gas and investing in a fair, resilient, low-carbon future that protects today's children and generations to come.
